Autel IA800 Intelligent ADAS:Optical positioning system

The Autel Intelligent ADAS IA800 Optical Positioning System is a calibration frame positioning system that works with six high-resolution cameras. It allows three-dimensional adjustment for the most accurate frame centering and vehicle distance detection. It is compatible with the existing Autel standard calibration framework, allowing for seamless integration. It optically measures two-wheeled clamp targets to reduce setup time and increase placement accuracy. It offers the broadest camera, radar, lidar, and night vision calibration coverage in the industry.

It allows for the most accurate and fastest calibration frame placement by removing the tape measure, plumb bobs, cords and mirrors from the setup process. This technology ensures the team uses the most up-to-date vehicle data and technology to ensure all calibrations are performed accurately and returned safely to vehicle owners.

Pre-Check is a new feature of Autel Intelligent ADAS Optical Positioning System (IA800) that allows accurate alignment check to be performed and add confirmation to the Pre-SCAN diagnostic report. This feature can be used to quickly identify wheel alignment issues that may affect calibration accuracy. The Pre-CHECK feature makes it possible to generate revenue from the required suspension repair without tying up the wheel alignment/lift.

The Autel Intelligent ADAS Optical Positioning System (IA800) has a feature to perform calibration where color coded values indicate the exact amount of frame movement required (Orange, Yellow, Green). The calibration process can be completed with any ADAS-enabled Autel MaxiSYS Scan Tool. After the calibration is complete, one can perform a POST-SCAN to generate a full ADAS calibration report and view the validation (evidence).
The Autel Intelligent ADAS Optical Positioning System (IA800) has an intelligent ADAS workflow that runs in 4 steps:
  1. Vehicle Identification: The IA800 automatically recognizes the vehicle model and serial number to ensure the correct calibration data is used.
  2. Frame Positioning: The IA800 uses its six high-resolution 3D imaging cameras to quickly and accurately position the calibration frame without using the tape measure, plumb bobs, strings, and mirrors.
  3. Calibration: The IA800 performs calibration automatically by calibrating the vehicle's cameras, radar sensors and lidar sensors to ensure the best possible performance.
  4. Final Report: The IA800 generates a final report containing the results of the calibration and confirming that the calibration was performed.
